Dentistry for Seniors
With proper care, your teeth can last a lifetime. However, as we age the care our teeth require often changes. For example, older adults may be more prone to cavities, experience teeth sensitivity, and may have other health conditions that affect teeth and gums. Seniors who have or need dentures also have unique care needs.
It is important that seniors, including those with dentures, continue to routinely visit their dentist. Dentists are often the first line of defense when it comes to discovering any signs of lumps or swelling, new moles, sores, or worrisome skin discolorations.
